The meeting was set at the Dominican Embassy in Hanoi, and the objective was to discuss potential collaborations between Vietnamand the Dominican Republic, with Asia Business Consulting as the intermediary.

The Dominican Republic has a rapidly growing economy and the benefit of being located in the center of the Caribbean. Furthermore, there is a 100% tax exemption from municipal and national taxes as well as free trade agreements with more than 40 countries, including the USA, EU, Central America and the Caribbean. These aspects make the Dominican Republic very attractive for potential investors.

Vietnam is the ideal partner for the Dominican Republic because of its affordable labor, young workforce and advantageous location near big markets like China and Thailand. Experts believe that Vietnam will be one of the world's top 20 economies in the next 50 years, which shows its huge potential. In addition, being the second-largest coffee exporter globally makes Vietnam even more attractive for investments.

In the constructive discourse held during the meeting, both parties delved into potential areas for collaboration. The Dominican Republic expressed interest in leveraging Vietnams prowess in technology, telecommunications, agriculture (with a notable emphasis on rice and coffee), and automotive sectors. Additionally, there was mutual interest in cultural exchanges between bothcountries, such as student programs.
