Hanoi — Next year will be a landmark in the development of the ASEAN bloc as it celebrates its golden jubilee and 10th anniversary of the ASEAN Charter, Vietnamese officials said yesterday.

On October 14th 2016, The Ministry of Finance issued Circular No. 150/2016/TT-BTC providing for fees for issuance of license for establishment and operation of credit institutions; license for establishment of foreign banks’ branches, representative offices of foreign credit institutions or other foreign organizations having banking activities; license for provision of intermediary payment services by non-bank institutions, and the collection and transfer thereof.
Hanoi – The Government will review Viet Nam’s farming products – such as seafood, rice, vegetables, pepper, coffee, cashew nuts and rubber, and Halal products for Muslim people - in order to increase exports to ASEAN member states. The review will also include building material, steel and steel products in order to promote trade activities with the bloc.
On 1st September 2016, Decree No:127/2016/ND-CP on establishment of ASEAN – Australia –New Zealand free trade area in 2016 – 2018 came into force, replacing Circular No.168/2014/TT-BTC dated November 14th 2016 on promulgating Vietnam’s special preferential import tariff to implement the ASEAN - Australia - New Zealand agreement on trade in goods during 2015-2018.
